Okay here we go... Friday the 15th of October. Travelling to Birmingham…still not feeling the love. Plus by then my bag with rolls wasn’t rolling anymore. Fun times, dragging 14kg behind you… Train to Cardiff…Finally there and I love the English/Welsh signs hehe. Taxi to our B&B and I can tell you…if you’re searching for a place to stay in Cardiff: This is it!
Stuart greeted us warmly and I felt at home instantly. ♥ He gave us maps, recommended a lot of stuff to us and was just fun and nice :) Then we went to our Cardiff Castle room and wow….pretty! We didn’t stay for long though, because we wanted to see some Cardiff of course. Instead of taking a bus we decided to walk… yeah great idea I know. ;)
We didn’t end up at the Bay but in the city centre but some walking more and when my feet already hated me we saw….

I can’t really describe what it felt like to see the opera from afar and walk towards it… ♥
A look to our right and hello water tower :) I’ve got a pic by day too but that’s kinda…nice I think. *g*

Mermaid Quay centre

We walked around a bit and kinda stumbled over…the Shrine.

So then I wanted some fish and chips and we got told we’d get some in the city centre. You’d think it’s logical you’d get some at the bay right? Well… After I got over my little Dramaqueen moment we decided to eat in an American diner….heh if we had only known…well more about that later. ;) Ate and then took a taxi back to the Ty Rosa.
