Small Worlds (aka Day 5)
Tuesday 19th October.
Last few hours in Cardiff :( I felt sad that I had to leave Cardiff and Ty Rosa… We decided to say bye to the bay and Paul was like “Maybe you’ll see some filming…” all innocently. He so knew!
So, we said goodbye to Torchwood Hub and I noticed some trucks but thought…hm maybe a market or something… Moving on to the Shrine and…hmm more trucks. By then I was already thinking something was going on… We stood for a while and when they put up some green screen at the place we’ve eaten at our fist evening!!! I was like ‘Okay…so….’ And then gave Emma’s arm a bruise (oops…sorry) when I saw Matt and Karen walk into the diner for rehearsals or whatever. You couldn’t really tell what was going on but hey, exciting anyway!
Matt left after a little while…
and there was more building….
We walked around a bit, never going too far away *g* and just watched…Emma noticed the Dalek voice first (I think that came from the opera/water tower) and gaaah. After a while (while I started to think I wanted to throw my camera somewhere! Temperamental battery eating thing!) Arthur (Rory) and Alex Kingston walked past us and even if my brain hadn’t just died (and my cam didn’t work at that point) I don’t think I’d been able to take a picture…Then Karen and Matt came back and well…shaky hand pic…
You can so tell by his legs anyway I think…. ;)
So…that was pretty much it….for Cardiff. We had to leave finally and I know I want to come back, I want to move there (Well by now I need a huge lottery win because I want a house in Stratford and Cardiff hehe…maybe Brighton too ;)) at least I want more time there to discover more…a week might just be enough. When coming back it’ll definitely Ty Rosa again too, I felt so at home and at ease there. ♥
Back to Birmingham where I so didn’t really want to be…checked in at Travellodge (yeah…what a let down after that lol) and went out to see how far it was to the Symphony Hall. It was like 5 minutes…. Stayed there and when a little bus drove in everyone got excited and… There he was. The Barrowman (With a beanie ♥) coming to write some autographs. We so haven’t been prepared for that and stayed in the background a bit… staring is nice too, yep. ;) All he could have signed for me would have been the Doctor Who exhibition receipt thing lol
Pretty good star spotting day I’d say heh. ;)
Got ready for the concert, the concert was great, I liked it better than Cardiff and loved the venue. Hearing some jokes/stories for the second time didn’t make them any less funny and I thought he got the feelings across better in Birmingham but maybe that was just me being more open or something.
5 days….so not enough time…. Will go back to the UK next year again, no question, the only question for me will be….back to Stratford or back to Cardiff. Depends a bit on the Barrowman I guess….
Oh! Almost forgot… Looked out of the window at Travellodge and…
